The Agniveer Vayu entry is the Indian Air Force’s recruitment under the Agnipath scheme, open to young male and female candidates. Eligible aspirants aged 17.5 to 21 years, with 10+2 (PCM) or a 3-year diploma/vocational qualification, can apply for this non-officer airmen-level role. As one of the most competitive entries, many join Indian Air Force coaching centre Madurai or Defence exam coaching Madurai to prepare for the written exam, physical test, and adaptability rounds.

The selection process includes an online test, followed by Physical Fitness Test, Adaptability Test I & II, and a medical examination. Selected candidates serve as Agniveers for 4 years, and up to 25% may be retained in the regular cadre based on merit and vacancies.
